Deskripsi Mata Kuliah

Mata kuliah ini memberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang kaidah bahasa Inggris kompleks yang meliputi adverb clauses, adjective clauses, noun clauses, perfect modals, and subjunctives

CPMK

CPMK-1 - Analyze the structures and communicative functions of simple, compound, and complex English sentences.

CPMK-2 - Construct accurate and meaningful compound sentences using appropriate coordination, punctuation, and linking devices.

CPMK-3 - Construct and transform complex sentences using adjective, adverb, and noun clauses and their reduced forms.

CPMK-4 - Diagnose and revise sentence-level grammatical problems in context.

CPMK-5 - Create and present a coherent text or grammar portfolio that demonstrates accurate, varied, and purposeful use of advanced structures

Aktivitas Pembelajaran

Pertemuan 1 - Students are able to analyze sentence types based on their structures.

Minggu 1

Sub-CPMK: Students are able to analyze sentence types based on their structures.
Materi: Students are able to analyze sentence types based on their structures.
Metode: Case-Based Learning (CBL): analyze authentic sentences, identify patterns and errors, discuss evidence, and reflect. TM: 3 x 50 minutes.; Review pre-existing materials in LMS and create a sentence-pattern map. BM: 3 x 60 minutes.
Indikator: Accuracy in identifying sentence elements and classifying sentence patterns.

Pertemuan 2 - Sentence elements; simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences

Materi: Sentence elements; simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences

Pertemuan 3 - Conjunctive adverbs and correlative conjunctions

Minggu 3

Sub-CPMK: Students are able to create compound sentences with coordinating conjunctions and semicolons.
Materi: Conjunctive adverbs and correlative conjunctions
Metode: CBL: revise poorly connected ideas; compare linking options; practice and feedback. TM: 3 x 50 minutes.; Produce examples showing contrast, result, addition, and alternatives. BM: 3 x 60 minutes.
Indikator: Accuracy in selecting conjunctive adverbs and correlative conjunctions based on meaning and structure
